Brazil was pegged back after going a goal ahead in the first half, leaving them to settle for a point against Switzerland.
The mood was jubilant after Philippe Coutinho’s sensational strike from 25 yards out, trademarked from his time at Liverpool.
The next 15 minutes of the first-half felt a little lax, with the five-time champions seeming to take their foot off the gas after going a goal ahead.
It looked as though Switzerland felt the same way, coming out in the second half with a more intense attacking intent that led to the equaliser 10 minutes after the break.
Steven Zuber beat his marker in the air following a set piece to head the ball in the back of the net.
Clattenburg in the ITV studios thought the Swiss goal should have been ruled out for a push by goalscorer Zuber on Miranda.
Brazil struggled to find the same magic that led to the first goal and eventually finished the game frustrated with just a point.
Final Score: Brazil 1 – 1 Switzerland.
