A Bamber Bridge man had an appeal denied to reduce an eight-year sentence, after being found guilty of four counts of indecent assault.
Graham Williams Mansfield was sentenced in April at Preston Crown Court, where it was reported that his youngest victim was just 3-years-old.
Mansfield had a stroke in 2015, which formed some of the basis for his lawyer’s argument for a more lenient sentence.
According to Mansfield’s lawyers, since his stroke, he has struggled with memory issues and balancing while on his feet.
The judge rejected the appeal stating, ‘A sentence of eight years properly reflects the totality and seriousness of this offending.’
‘There is no merit in this application for leave to appeal against sentence, which we refuse.’
