A major road in Chorley has been closed this afternoon due to an overturned bin…
Part of Garstang Road will be closed from today as improvements are made and while the construction of a new gateway begins.
The closure will take place between the junction with James Towers Way and the junction with Church Lane.
Should the work go to plan Garstang Road will be reopened on Friday 12th of October, before closing for another short period later in October.
County Councillor Keith Iddon, Cabinet member for highways and transport, said, ‘The improvement work is going well and we’re working hard to deliver it on time.’
‘No further road closures are planned for later this year. We’re doing what we can to keep inconvenience to a minimum during this work. Thank you to people for their patience while this work takes place.’
