Dozens of firefighters tackle a blaze in Preston town center early hours of Sunday morning.…
A pub in Chorley went up in flames this morning, as onlookers saw people evacuating the building.
Fire engines from Wigan, Leyland, Blackburn and Bamber Bridge attended The Plough after the building was seen filled with smoke.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire involved a ground floor kitchen and firefighters used two breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.”
One man on twitter said he saw the incident unfold as he watched ‘people climbing on the rear of the pub going back into the smoke to get people out.’
