Halloween Hilarity!: Funny Movies To Watch This October!

When you think of October, you immediately think of one thing – Halloween.

Millions of people around the world dress for this occasion, wearing imaginative, terrifying and hilarious outfits to create a haunting Halloween effect.

The world of cinema also plays along with this celebration, with many films featuring the theme of Halloween within.

Many genres touch upon this subject, from horrors to comedies to dramas.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Arguably one of the greatest Halloween films of all time, Hocus Pocus is a Disney classic featuring the famous faces of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as our three favourite witches.
Everything about this film has made it a cult classic; the plot, the acting, the characters and the music!

Casper (1995)
Everyone’s favourite friendly ghost, Casper, was a huge success upon its release, garnering $287 million! This film changed our perceptions of ghosts, as we went from fearing them to loving them.
Casper is a classic film loved by generations, and it will continue to be a Halloween classic for years to come.

Scary Movie (2000)
The first of the Scary Movie franchise is arguably one of the best. Anna Faris was catapulted to fame following her role of Cindy, the much loved main character of the Scary Movie films. Known for their satirical take of famous horror films, there’s no doubting this film made you laugh hysterically.

Mean Girls (2004)
Easily one of the most quoted films of all time, (including classics such as ‘I want my pink shirt back’ and ‘Your mum’s chest hair!’) Mean Girls is still loved today, 14 years after its release.
