Get Ready For Halloween With These Horror Film Favourites!

We all know one of the best ways to get in the mood for Halloween is watching some of the best horror films!

Now some of these films may not have been popular or received positive reviews from critics, but they have certainly garnered a huge cult following.

If you’re getting ready for a movie freight night before the 31st October, these horror films are a must see!

The Blair Witch Project (1999)
Upon its release, The Blair Witch Project confused viewers into whether it was actually based on a true story or not.. some may say it still is to this day! Famous for using a ‘found footage technique’ to promote the film, (also used by Paranormal Activity and Cloverfield); it has since become one of the successful independent films of all time.
This supernatural horror film follows three filmmakers as they document the legend of the Blair Witch. A perfect film for Halloween.

1408 (2007)
This psychological horror is based on a short story written by Stephen King. Starring Samuel L Jackson and John Cusack, we follow a sceptical author who stays in haunted locations to prove the paranormal does not exist.
However, nothing prepares the author for what lies in room 1408. Guaranteed to scare you, this film is ideal for your horror film night!

Halloween (1978)
We’ve lost count of how many Halloween films there are (the most recently released Halloween is the eleventh in the series). But, none can compare to the 1978 original. Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, the original Scream Queen, this slasher horror has a huge cult following amongst horror fans.
Watch the story of Mike Myers from the very beginning.
