Police Car Attacked With Fireworks In Preston!

A police car was bombarded by fireworks and an egg while driving in Preston during Bonfire night.

The event took place on New Hall lane in Preston which saw a Preston Police car attacked with lit fireworks.

Shortly after police took to Twitter to voice their concern about this ‘dangerous behaviour’.

A statement read, ‘Driving down New hall lane Preston, this evening and we unfortunatley had an egg launched at the police vehicle along with multiple fireworks. All this whilst driving along the road. This is dangerous behaviour and could put people and other road users at risk! don’t do it!’

This comes after police had already taken to social media earlier today to warn of some of the dangers of bonfire night.

Just hours prior to the incident a tweet from the Preston police official Twitter account read, ‘I would just like to remind you all to enjoy the bonfires and fireworks this evening but most of all to stay safe whilst out and about. Remember in case of any real emergency, always dial 999.’

At this time we are not aware of any arrests that have been made in connection with the incident.
