Another driver has fallen victim to Preston’s favourite inanimate feature.
Even though the bollard isn’t even on the road, its base structure caused a white VW to get stuck on it during rush hour yesterday morning (Friday 17th).
No one is thought to have been hurt in the collision.
While the bollard itself has been out of action for the last few months, it’s still been proactive on Twitter, even tweeting about its’ latest victim.
The Bollard was last in position during the May Bank Holiday weekend before it was sent rolling down Fishergate Hill.
No date has been set for when the bollard will return to Fishergate.
A Freedom of Information Request conducted by Blog Preston showed that replacing the bollard each time it was knocked down has cost more than £300 each time.
