Want to Climb St Walburge’s Spire?

Did you know Preston homes the third tallest spire in the UK? One of the city’s most famous landmarks, St Walburge’s Spire, stands at an incredible 309 ft (94m) and also happens to be the tallest on a parish church. If that isn’t impressive enough, it also contains the heaviest swinging bell throughout the whole of Lancashire!
Does this sound like something you would want to climb? Because, if yes, you can! Today, for the very first time, you have the chance to climb St Walburge’s spire at night. All visitors will be treated to panoramic views of the scenic landscape the city has to offer and beyond.
If that’s not enough, why not have a guided tour of the mesmerising, Grade 1 listed church, and see the unique War Memorial Altar, stunning stained glass windows and remarkable beam roof. Spend a Saturday night doing something different in the historic city of Preston.
From 7.30pm – 8.30pm, and costing just £8.50, you can enjoy climbing Preston’s famous St Walburge’s spire.
If you’re interested but unsure where the event is, the address is: St Walburge’s Catholic Church, Weston Street, Preston, PR2 2QE.
If you’re planning on attending tonight, we hope you have a fantastic evening.
