Detectives are investigating a robbery of an ATM at a Preston Post Office from Wednesday, January 19th.
Police attended the Post Office on Garstang road following reports that three men had broken the ATM and had stolen money contained inside.
A black Mercedes made off from the scene, which was later recovered in Wigan.
Det Insp Nick Hills, of Lancashire Police, said, ‘An investigation is underway following a cash theft in Preston.
‘Three men have caused significant damage to a cash machine before stealing a quantity of money and making off from the scene.
‘We are appealing for information and are keen to speak to anyone who can help with our enquiries.
‘Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the offence? Did you see a black Mercedes car being driven towards the scene or making off from the area at high speed?
‘Any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could prove crucial to our investigation.’
