Police are continuing to appeal for information on an ATM theft, even after a man has been charged with aggravated burglary.
Police initially said when appealing for information on January 9th, ‘Three men have forced entry to the store and removed the freestanding cashpoint.
‘They managed to get the machine out of the shop but failed to take it away.
‘It is believed the men were using a silver Honda 4×4 type vehicle. They left the scene in the Longridge direction.’
Now it has been revealed a man has been arrested and charged by police in connection with the offence.
However, Preston Police have said that ‘Detectives are continuing to appeal for information following the incident.’
Det Con Dan Armstrong of Preston Police said, ‘While we have made one arrest, we are keen to trace anyone with information about what happened.
‘We believe a number of men were involved in the theft.
‘If you saw what happened, or saw a vehicle matching that described, please come forward.’
Patrick Gavin, of Preston, has been charged with aggravated burglary.
