A friend of Rosie Darbyshire has set up a memorial event that will take place on Tuesday to remember the popular mum-of-one.
Denni, Rosie’s friend, is asking for friends, family and people who want to pay their respects to meet at Whitmore Place, Moor Nook and 6pm on Tuesday, bringing along lanterns, candles and balloons.
Rosie was the victim of a brutal attack and sadly lost her life as a result of the injuries sustained.
Tributes have poured in on Facebook, many people speaking of their disbelief over the tragic death of their friend.
One person said, “RIP Rosie, you always made me laugh at school. There was never a dull moment when you were around. It is such a shame this has happened to you; my thoughts are with your little boy and your family at this sad time. We are all going to miss you.”
Another friend said, “Rosie, you were an amazing girl. Bubbly, Cheerful and helped anyone.”
Floral tributes are collecting on the corner of Village Drive for Rosie.
A JustGiving Page has been set up to help raise money for Rosie’s funeral, with the goal of raising £10,000. 359 supporters have already raised 59% of the target.
Moor Nook Chippy are also taking donations to help make Rosie’s family life a little less stressful.
In an online post, Denni said “Our street pulling together for a very special beautiful young woman” in response to hearing of Moor Nook Chippy taking collections.
