An amazing gesture by fans will be seen tonight at Deepdale as Norwich travel to face Preston North End.
The game will act as a stage to a minutes applause in remembrance of football greats Sir Tom Finney and Gordon Banks, as well as local mother Rosie Darbyshire.
Rosie was found dead last week in Pope Lane, Ribbleton, which caused a wave of shock and grief throughout the community.
Benjamin Topping was charged with the murder of Rosie Darbyshire at a hearing at Preston Crown Court last Saturday (9th of February).
Former England shot-stopper Banks passed away this week aged 81 and will be remembered most for his heroics in England’s 1966 World Cup win.
PNE Fans Forum has informed fans traveling to Deepdale tonight that a minutes applause will begin at the 7th-minute mark to remember former North End man Sir Tom, as well as Gordon and Rosie.
