Forget Gareth, Storm Hannah Will Hit UK With Three Days Of Snow

Another storm is set to batter the UK this weekend, just days after Storm Gareth brought winds peaking at 99mph.

Storm Hannah will bring wind and snow to the North of England, which is expected to last for three days once it hits the UK.

Forecasters warn some coastal routes and seafronts could be hit by spray and large waves, with delays to public transport likely.

Difficult driving conditions are possible with delays expected on some exposed routes.

A Met Office spokeswoman told the Sun Online, ‘Saturday will be wet and windy with snow in some parts of the country, and Sunday will be brighter with showers across the country.

‘There is a developing area of low pressure that is going to push northwards through the UK through Saturday.

‘It will be quite wet with rain across the country.

‘As the band of rain pushes north across the country, it’s going to turn to snow.

‘At the moment it could be a named weather system, it’s not out of the question.’
