Police Search Fishwick In Bid To Attack Knifecrime

A further 52 people and 7 vehicles were searched last night (13 March) during Section 60 powers in Preston.
Nobody was arrested.
The authority was in place from 6pm on Wednesday to 6am this morning (Thursday) and applied to the Fishwick and St Matthews areas.
A Section 60 gives us the power to search people or vehicles without suspicion in an area where we believe violence could take place.
