A conservatory fire in Chorley has led to a hospital visit for an unlucky resident.
The fire happened in Euxton yesterday around 9.30pm at a property on Birkdale Close. The person trapped in the blaze had to have oxygen and was later taken to hospital.
Two fire engines were sent to the property from Chorley.
A Spokesperson said; “At 9.33pm, two fire engines from Chorley attended a fire in the conservatory of a domestic property on Birkdale Close, Euxton.”
The person from Lancashire Fire & Rescue continued; “Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. One casualty was administered oxygen therapy as a precautionary measure. Crews were in attendance for 1 hour and 40 minutes.”
