A teenage girl that pushed her friend off a bridge from 60ft in the air has said she was asked to do it by the victim.
Taylor Smith spoke to Good Morning America that even though she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour of reckless endangerment in Clark County District Court, she didn’t intend to hurt her friend Jordan Holgerson.
According to Smith, Holgerson had asked to be pushed into the ravine below the bridge.
Smith said, “She wanted to jump and she was scared and she asked me to give her a push, I didn’t think about the consequences.
“I’ve apologised several times, but I haven’t been able to see her in person.
“I went to the hospital. I got asked to leave, I wasn’t allowed to see her.
“I never intended to hurt her, ever. I’m really sorry it turned out that way. I just pray she heals.”
Holgerson’s family deny that Smith had attempted to visit the hospital and have said that they don’t believe her public apology us absolutely genuine.
Smith was given community service and avoided jail time thanks to a plea deal struck with the prosecutor.
