Assault Outside Of Blackpool’s Ma Kellys Puts A Man In RPH Hospital

A melee involving a group of men armed with weapons has left one man in Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries.

Police confirmed that officers were called to an incident close to Ma Kellys on Talbot Road around 11pm, Thursday night (April 25th).

The incident is believed to be a targetted attack, leaving one man with serious injuries to his head, neck and arm.

Police said, ‘A 28-year old man from Blackpool was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries to his arm, head and neck. He is currently in a stable condition.

‘Two men aged 30 and 32 from Blackpool have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and are currently in custody.

‘We are treating the assault as targeted.

‘Enquiries are on-going and we would appeal to anyone who has any dashcam or other footage to get in touch.

‘Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number 1556 of April 25th or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.’
