Police have arrested two people following the discovery of a large knife in a vehicle in Preston City Centre.
A car was stopped in Church Street by officers who thought the vehicle was suspicious.
After a short investigation the blade (pictured above) was found under the passenger sear.
On social media, a police spokesman said, ‘A suspicious vehicle was spotted by two #Team5IR officers in an unmarked car near to the prison on Ribbleton Lane.
‘The vehicle was eventually stopped on Church Street and a full search revealed this samurai style knife under the passenger seat.
‘Both occupants were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and it looks like their ninja training will have to be put on hold for the night.’
