Peace, Love and Milkshake protest scheduled for Robinson’s visit

A Peace, Love and Milkshake party has been organised for Tommy Robinson’s visit the city.

Mr Robinson, who has faced public backlash for his far-right beliefs, is hoping to become an MEP and will be visiting Preston next Monday (May 20th) to gain more support for his campaign.

To protest against Robinson’s visit, a group have organised a peaceful protest at Preston’s Flag Market, which will also be giving away free milkshakes over the course of the evening, starting at 6pm.

The groups Facebook event page said: “Join us on the Flag Market for a Peace, Love & Milkshake Party to take a stand against the visit of “Tommy Robinson” (Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) in our peaceful and multicultural city of Preston.

“Feel free to bring your own milkshake (TO DRINK ONLY! – No throwing) – but there will also be free milkshake provided. There will also be music. Bring your friends!

“This is an event to celebrate peace, love, diversity and positive vibes.”
