The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is bringing its London catwalk fashion show to Preston for a free public event.
On Thursday 20 June eighteen budding designers will show off their work on stage at Venue 53. It is the first time the public will see the show, which will be straight off the catwalk at Graduate Fashion Week in London.
A spokesman for Preston BID said, ‘The show will present finalist work from Fashion Design, Fashion Promotion and Textile Design students, as previewed at London Graduate Fashion Week.
‘You will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes as the designers share their experience and discuss the concepts and inspiration for their collections.
‘Drinks and canapes will be served upon arrival and FREE parking is available on Victoria Street, PR1 7QS. This is an exciting opportunity to see how UCLan’s flying the fashion flag for Preston!’
Several collections caught the eyes of industry experts during the London show including Charley Parr, whose collection featured in the Graduate Fashion Week Talent of Tomorrow 2019 campaign and the work of two students, Allison Elizabeth Orr and Zhixue Xie, which featured in Graduate Fashion Week’s prestigious final Gala Show.
The show will take place 6.30pm – 9.00pm at Venue 53 on Thursday 20 June. It is a free event, but people are required to register online via Eventbrite.
