Chief Constable of Lancashire Police, Andy Rhodes, invites the public to celebrate Gay Pride, this weekend in Blackpool.
Adorned with rainbow epaulets in support of the LGBTQ+ community, he reveals why the movement is important to the constabulary.
“For us attending pride is a key event in the year, it’s about us talking about equality for all.”
“It’s also about promoting Lancashire Constabulary as an employer of choice.”
“We are proud to say we are recognised as one of the top employers for LGBT tolerance in the country.”
The event will take place this weekend and is set to attract thousands of supporters from all over Lancashire.
Tickets are available for £10.50.
Police urge all those attending to both remain safe and stay vigilant at all times.
