Fundraiser Has Been Launched To Help Pay For Dog Bite Victim’s Funeral

An online crowd-funding page has been launched to help pay for the funeral of a Preston woman who tragically lost her life following a dog attack.

Sharon Jennings, a 55-year-old woman from Preston, died in Royal Preston Hospital after she was bitten on the hand and neck by a dog.

Police said, “Sharon was walking her own dog on the old railway lines in Brookfield between 6pm and 7.30pm on Friday May 31st when her pet and another dog started to fight.

“She intervened and was bitten on the hand and neck.”

Following Sharon’s passing an online JustGiving page has been launched to help pay funeral expenses.

Toby Ayers who launched the campaign said, “Sharon was walking her dog on Friday the 31st of May with her grandson when her dog was attacked and she was attacked by the dog also leaving her to fall ill on Monday and sadly lost her life Friday 7th June, the death has come unexpectedly to all the family and all her friends where trying to raise some money to help with the funeral cost anything will help thank you”
