Jeremy Kyle has come under fire yet again after members of the show have admitted that lie detector results were often wrong.
During a hearing with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, where Jeremy Kyle producers spoke in front of MPs, it was made clear that show always stated that the results were not 100% accurate.
The Chairman for the hearing, Damian Collins, said that experts believed that the test was only accurate 66% of the time.
Now criticism has rained on the show once again, as Kyle’s team have been labelled reckless and irresponsible.
The Jeremy Kyle show was originally taken off the air after it was revealed that a guest who recently appeared on the show, failing a lie-detector test, had taken his own life.
Kyle told the BBC, “Myself and the production team I have worked with for the last 14 years are all utterly devastated by the recent events”.
“Our thoughts and sympathies are with Steve’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.”
