WE NEED YOU – Is the message from Preston’s Foxton Centre, as the homeless organisation begins a reach out programme later this month.
The Foxton Centre, established as a youth centre in 1969, aims to offer support to rough sleepers by providing; safety and resources – aka ‘winter watch programme’, community cafe and Housing First accommodation scheme.
A spokesman for the Foxton centre said, “On the 19th of July The Foxton Centre will be taking to the streets to reach out to those who need us the most.
“This will involve working within a team of experienced workers to engage with the street homeless of Preston City Centre. The Outreach will begin at 3am Friday morning and end at 6am on the same morning.
“We need all the help we can get.
“If you are interested we will be holding a volunteering evening on the 11th of July at The Foxton Centre from 19.00pm – 20.00pm. To discuss the count further.
