Two people are seriously injured while 17 people in total were injured during a street race gone wrong in Stevenage.
The incident took place between 9pm and 10pm last night (July 18th) when two cars collided on Monksway during a car meet.
Hertfordshire Police initially confirmed that 14 people had been injured, with two sustaining serious injuries. Later it was confirmed that 17 people had been hurt.
No arrests have been made so far.
Organisers for the meet told Sky News, “We tell people, ‘please don’t race’. But, we can’t control people who are reckless and who ruin it”.
Herts Police are continuing to appeal for any video footage of the incident.
