Just as you thought the Guild Hall drama had remained quiet, reports emerge today that staff pension payments have not been made.
In a letter reportedly seen by Blog Preston, some staff has been told that their employer has not paid into a pension scheme.
The Preston Guild Hall was returned to the Preston City Council after Simon Rigby’s leadership resulted in the venue going into administration.
At the start of last month, a City Council spokesman said, “(the council is) Seeking an operator for the Guild Hall, including the Charter Theatre, Grand Hall, offices and ground floor shops, Preston City Council aims to use this competitive process to find the most economically advantageous solution for the future of the venue.”
Rigby told Blog Preston, “I understand from the Administrator that there is £31,976 in total owing by PGHL.
“I do not know what priority for payment – if any – this has but it will be properly dealt with by the Administrator in due course.”
