Blackpool Teen Arrested For Raping A Nursing Home Resident In Lytham-St-Annes

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of raping a nursing home resident after climbing through a ground floor window.

Police had been called to New Thursby Nursing Home on Clifton Drive on Sunday, August 4th, when an unknown male had been found in one of the rooms of the nursing home.

Allegedly, a teen had climbed through a ground floor window and proceeded to assault a resident of the home before a staff member stumbled across the incident.

“We have had a team of officers working tirelessly on this investigation since Sunday, and we have now made an arrest.

“However our investigation is very much ongoing and we are continuing to appeal for information. If you know anything at all that could help with our enquiries, we need to hear from you.

“If you were in the area at around 5am on Sunday and saw anything suspicious, or have any CCTV or dash cam footage that may be useful, please contact us.
