Two teenage boys have been arrested after attempting to burgle a Bamber Bridge house.
South Ribble Police were called in the early hours of Saturday morning (7th Sept) after a neighbour spotted two teenagers entering the house. The teenagers are thought to be 17 and 18 years old.
The teenagers scarpered before Police arrived which led to a search across the Bamber Bridge area. Police were searching on-foot in grassland and in nearby streets.
They spotted two boys matching the description in Collins Road, a short distance away from the property. Police were able to recover some of the stolen items from the house.
A spokesperson for South Ribble Police said; “The two boys were spotted by a neighbour and immediately ran off down an path between Collins Road North and Brindle Road. They then disappeared into neighbouring gardens in an attempt to get away”.
“One of the teenagers was later found hiding in a garden on Brown Lane and another on Collins Road.”
