Regional: 41-Year-Old Woman Shot Twice In Wigan Gun Attack

Police have cordoned off a part of Wigan this morning after a shooting has hospitalised a 41-year-old woman.

Members of the public said they heard a flurry of shots, which were targetted at a house in Abram, Wigan.

Unfortunately, a woman was hit twice by the gunshots and has been taken to a hospital.

Police have said that her injuries are not ‘life-threatening’.

The BBC has reported that the shots were fired at the victim’s home in Redland Court shortly after midnight.

Authorities have not confirmed what vehicle was used in the incident, but, despite a member of the public believing they heard a motorbike, a car was found burnt out close to the incident.
