Charity Open-Mic Night In Penwortham

Penwortham Arts Centre ‘The Venue’ will play host to a selection of budding performers hoping to wow the audience.

There will be a range of talent on show with all the acts signed up and have been practising for some time in preparation for the big night.

According to the poster which advertises the event, there will be a variety of acts taking part which includes “Singers, poets, musicians and comedians”, it is set to be an entertaining night with something for everyone.

It’s all in aid of ‘Mind’, a mental health charity that wants to promote mental wellbeing and to stop misconceptions about mental health.

‘Mind’ has a Lancashire branch and does a lot of work to support people living with a mental health condition.

The charity has ‘Wellbeing Coaches’ that teach people about making the right life decisions that best support your mental wellbeing.

They also have a school programme called ‘Bounce Foward’ that goes to classroom’s to teach children aged 9-11 years old about mental resilience and wellbeing.

For this event, you cannot just turn up on the night and perform but if that’s what you are looking for they will also be hosting another open-mic night on the 5th December just for that.

There is no age limit on the show but under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.

The event is taking place at ‘The Venue’ in Penwortham on Friday 29th November, you can buy tickets via Eventbrite
