Chorley Man Is Bitten, Punched & Almost Stabbed During Attempted Break-In

A man was bitten, punched and almost stabbed while attempting to prevent a break-in last month in Chorley.

Police are now appealing for information after two men were seen attempting to gain access to a house on Buckshaw Hall Close.

The owner of the property called police around 23:20 on Friday, 22nd November.

A second man tried to detain one of the suspects after seeing a confrontation unfold; he was hit to the face and bitten on the arm, before almost being stabbed by one of the offenders.

DC Andrew Causey of Chorley and South Ribble CID, said, “This is a shocking incident which has been extremely traumatic for the people involved. Luckily they did not sustain serious physical injuries.

“Similarly, if you have any CCTV footage that covers the Buckshaw Hall Close and Chancery Road areas, please check it to see if there is anything that may be relevant to our investigation.”
