The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) Choir put on a great show for people getting their Christmas shopping done today in St.George’s Shopping Centre.
Prestonians got into the Christmas spirit and stopped by to hear all the classics.
Silent Night was amongst some of the Christmas favourites that could be heard throughout the shopping centre this afternoon.
The men and women of the NWAS were performing today to raise money for the Baby Beat Appeal.
Baby Beat is a charity set up to provide funding for the Sharoe Green Maternity Unit.
Their aim is to ensure babies born within our community have the very best monitoring equipment during pregnancy and delivery.
They help support the baby unit at both Preston and Chorley Hospital by funding research and equipment.
Volunteers for Baby Beat were walking around with buckets to collect money for the charity.
Roya Armstrong, a Baby Beat Fundraiser, was delighted with a turnout and wanted to thank the NWAS,
“I’d just like to say a massive thank you to the North West Ambulance Service for coming down today and giving up their day off to help support us,
“What an incredible afternoon, every single penny will make a huge difference.”
