Services from Preston railway station are expected to resume around lunchtime after debris fell from the roof onto the train tracks.
A Tweet by @NetworkRailMan earlier this morning revealed that trains from Preston railway station have been suspended after debris fell on the track.
The disruption affected all services through Preston including Northern, TransPennine Express and Avanti West Coast trains.
Network Rail have also revealed that engineers have been on-site this morning to assess the roof and services will be able to resume around lunchtime today (Monday 13th).
Severe weather from the weekend is being blamed for the debris falling. Major disruption is expected until 12.30pm today but some services may start running earlier or later.
