Man Walks Into The Sea

Authorities are asking for information on an incident that took place in Blackpool on Saturday when a man walked into the sea.

A police spokesman said, “We were called at around 11:30pm on Saturday (11 January) by a concerned member of the public who saw a man enter the sea close to the St Chad’s Road area of Blackpool.

“Police supported initial searches for the man, whose identity is unknown.

“We are now appealing to trace a man who was walking with a child in the St Chad’s area at around 11:30pm. It is believed he had a conversation with the member of the public who made the report, with them talking about what they had seen.”

Insp Pete Hannon of Blackpool Police, added, “If you are this man and remember having a conversation with another man about the incident, please come forward. You could hold vital information that could help our investigation.

“The identity of the man reported to be seen in the sea remains unknown. We would ask that if you are concerned about a friend or family member who is missing that you please report this to us.

“Likewise, if you were in the area and remember seeing anything, or have any information at all that could help please call us as soon as possible.”

Police are appealing for information on a man from Blackburn who has gone missing from HMP Kirkham.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said, “Awan (21/8/89) of Blackburn, also known as Ron, is wanted after absconding from HMP Kirkham on October 25th.

“He is described as Asian, five ft nine ins tall, short black hair, black beard and moustache, brown eyes and with his left ear pierced.

“He was jailed in June 2017 for 10 years for drugs offences.

“Anyone with information should email or call 101 quoting log 1416 of October 25th 2019.@
