A development planning firm has launched an application to bring 40 attractive apartments.
Planning agents PWA Planning has submitted an application to build 40 apartments with an ‘attractive, efficient high-quality and durable design’ on Maritime way.
PWA Planning is working on behalf of Austringer Captial Ltd, who want to primarily build one and two-bedroom apartments, and a total of 29 parking space for residents of the building.
The application from PWA Planning claims, “All of the apartments, except for those on the ground floor, will have an attractive balcony, which will offer views of the surroundings, which includes the nearby docklands, the Guild Wheel and the River Ribble.”
“The materials used within the design of this development are to deliberately contrast with the surrounding area, with an attractive, efficient, high-quality and durable design.
“As a result of this, the design has been heavily influenced by using a modern palette that is modern and striking in appearance to make a statement.”
National firm PWA Planning has previous success with Preston planning applications, having previously acted on behalf of Mulbury & Adactus Housing, the company successfully negotiated full planning permission for the erection of fifty affordable dwellings on a former mill site in central Preston.
After that project a spokesman for PWA Planning said, “PWA worked closely with officers at Preston City Council to overcome the detailed technical issues and planning permission was granted ahead of time.
“Subsequent management of legal agreements, community infrastructure levy (CIL) exemptions and planning conditions by PWA meant that development could commence before the funding deadline.
“The development will make a significant contribution to meeting Preston’s affordable housing needs and at the same time will see the redevelopment of a longstanding ‘eyesore’ site within Preston.”
