A man connected with a number of thefts from vehicles in the Adlington area of Chorley has now been arrested.
Jamie Lee Turner, a 33-year-old man from Bolton, was arrested on Wednesday (15th January) by Greater Manchester Police Bolton North.
A police spokesman said last month, Turner and two other men targeted as many as 30 vehicles in the Adlington area.
Today a Chorley Police spokesman said, “Jamie Lee Turner who was wanted in connection with the recent thefts from the Adlington area has this evening been charged with Theft and Fraud. He has been remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates tomorrow.
“Turner was arrested in the early hours of this morning by colleagues from Greater Manchester Police GMP Bolton North and has also been charged with a number of offences in the Bolton area.
“We are continuing to investigate the Adlington incident and hope to bring further charges and there are two males still outstanding. We now know the identity of these two males and would like to thank everybody who has contacted us and assisted with this investigation.”
