Police Confirm More Patrols For Deepdale After Teenage Boy Stabs Two People

Preston Police have confirmed that a 15-year-old boy was arrested and being investigated for stabbings that took place in Deepdale.

The teen was arrested after a man in his 50’s and a woman in her 40’s were stabbed in the Deepdale area of Preston.

Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment but neither are thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries.

A total of four incidents were reported to the authorities, including a 16-year-old boy being threatened with a blade while having his bike stolen and a woman having her bag snatched close to an old Toys R Us.

Ch Insp Sansbury of Preston Police said, “Knife crime will not be tolerated in Lancashire. We are committed to tackling this serious issue and we are working closely with partners on a number of initiatives, including knife arches, knife wands and knife bins.”
