70 new homes have been approved for the Coupe Green area in Hoghton.
Vistry Partnerships will be the developers for the homes. They acquired the site following a successful planning application.
The “Olive Farm Scheme” will be located near to Metheun Drive in Hoghton and will see 70 new homes built.
There will be a mixture of 3 and 4 bedroom homes by the Linden Homes brand, along with 2-3 bedroom homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.
A spokesperson for Vistry Partnerships North West, said: “We are delighted to have completed the purchase of the site and to have secured planning permission for these homes.
“The development will create high quality, family homes, with a good mix of sizes and tenures enabling local people to find the right home for them.
“We have a proven track record in building attractive, modern homes across the North West, including within South Ribble, and we look forward to delivering another successful scheme for the community.”
Each house will have attached parking spaces and a garden to the rear.
Work looks set to begin in the next few months and the homes will be completed by the end of 2020.
