A Central Lancashire partnership has been launched, which will make decisions affecting social care.
The Central Lancashire Integrated Care Partnership, which is organised by Healthier Lancashire & South Cumbria, will work together with local authorities and other groups to improve health care.
A spokesman for the partnership said, “We’re bringing together the NHS, local councils and voluntary, community and faith sector organisations across Preston, Chorley and South Ribble to improve the health, care and wellbeing of local people, to make improvements and change the way we work.
“This is formally known as our Integrated Care Partnership and sees us working together on a formal basis to agree priorities and make joint decisions.
“This will in turn provide an opportunity to develop better ways of working across health and social care which we know can have huge benefits for local people, staff and services.”
