A new local food delivery service is starting with it’s owners encouraging you to “Order In Preston”.
The new delivery service will be an online digital platform for you to order food from local takeaways and restaurants, and have the food quickly delivered to your door.
Spread across an online website and mobile app, the exciting new way to order food is launching within the next few weeks.
Over 20 popular eateries are currently signed up to the App with Taste Of Thailand, Silk Route and Kings Castle being the first to register their interest.
A spokesperson told Preston Hub: “Last year we created a Facebook group where the people of Preston could review their food. This was amazing for local eateries because if you served great food the word spread fast & likewise if it wasn’t up to scratch, you knew to stay away.”
“With over 60,000 members it’s a great community hub. But what was bubbling underneath was much worse. We found the market leaders in food deliveries were charging up to 35%+VAT to deliver food & it made you ask the question if the delivery companies were taking nearly half of the income how are the local independent eateries staying afloat?.. the answer is most are not.”
They added: “Order In Preston takes less commission than the big boys so takeaways can offer exciting deals and try something different. We’re really excited about the idea and think it’s what Preston needs as the city grows!”
“We’re really proud to be starting a business that invests in Preston, bringing money and jobs to local people and local businesses.”
