A man has been arrested by a Preston task force today after he was found carrying a ‘knuckle duster’.
Preston police has promises to continue proactively searching members of the public in their fight to take offensive weapons off the street.
“Preston NPT Task Force have today been taking more weapons off the street to keep your town safe.
“One male arrested for being in possession of an offensive weapon. We will continue to proactively stop and search individuals appropriately in order to take weapons off the street and keep our community safe.”
A criminal conviction of carrying an offensive weapon can lead to a fine, or a prison sentence of up to four years.
