Preston City Council is encouraging residents to stick with social distancing as the region sees a rise in positive COVID-19 cases.
Blackburn, Pendle and Oldham have all seen spikes in positive cases recently, prompting local authorities to encourage people to continue observing social distancing.
Preston City Council tweeted today:
“Coronavirus is on the rise in the North West, and it is mainly spreading through households and communities. This is because it is (relatively) easy to keep your distance from those you don’t know – or like!
“But we instinctively close the gap with those we know, like and love and put ourselves, our friends, loved ones and communities at risk. Look after your community – please give each other space. It is not over yet.”
