Following a public appeal to find two men involved in a break-in on Fishergate police have now arrested a suspect.
Yesterday (October 14th), Police appealed for two men to come forward who are thought to have gained entry into the Mountain Warehouse on Fishergate in Preston.
A Preston Police spokesman said:
“We have attended to a report of a burglary at 23:45 hours yesterday evening at Mountain Warehouse on Fishergate in Preston.
“It is believed that there were two male suspects who had gained entry to the premises by ripping a hole in the bottom of the boarded-up entrance and whilst inside have attempted to steal a number of clothing items including shirts and jackets.
“It transpired that the two males responsible were spotted by an eagle-eyed member of the public who gave chase and in doing so, the suspects kindly left the clothing behind for us to collect and return to its rightful owner.”
Following that appeal, Preston Police confirmed one male had been arrested in connection with the incident.
“Following on from the post yesterday in relation to the burglary at Mountain Warehouse on Fishergate, we can confirm that one of the males believed to be responsible has been arrested in the early hours of this morning.
“Our enquiries into the case are still on-going.”
