Chorley Police have taken to social media to urge people to use their common sense.
A Chorley Police spokesman added:
“We know the definition of local is open to interpretation right now, but we’d urge everyone to stick to the guidance and most of all use their common sense and show respect for each other.
“Travelling significant distances to exercise isn’t in the spirit of the nationwide lockdown, particularly when doctors and nurses across the country are pleading with everyone to protect the NHS by staying at home.
“We’re working closely with partners across the region to help get this message across.
“Thanks for your support so far.”
