Masked Men Enter Flat To Threaten Owners With Metal Bar

Detectives are appealing for information, CCTV and dashcam footage following an aggravated burglary in Fleetwood earlier this week (April 29).

Police were called at 9.31pm to reports three masked men had let themselves into a flat in Larkholme Parade ten minutes earlier.

One of the men threatened the three occupants in the premises with a metal bar and ordered them to go into a bedroom.

The men took a safe containing a quantity of cash.

The men are described as being white, wearing beanie-style hats and had their faces covered. They all spoke with Irish accents. One of the men is thought to have been younger than the other two – possibly 18 or 19-years-old.

No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are ongoing.

DC Isobel Garratt, of West CID, said: “This is a shocking incident which has left the victims extremely shaken. We know this kind of incident will have shocked the community and we have increased patrols in the area.
“We are at the early stages of our inquiry and we are asking the public to get in touch if they saw any suspicious vehicles or individuals in the area at that time. We would also ask people to check their CCTV or dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything which could assist us with our investigation.”
