Lancashire Fire Crews were kept busy on Sunday (02-05-2-21), after a vehicle caught fire on the M6 motorway and a property blaze in Preston.
Three fire crews from Fulwood, Garstang and Lancaster tackled the vehicle fire on the M6 motorway, northbound near to junction 32.
The fire involved a van on the hard shoulder which crews extinguished using breathing apparatus, hose reel and thermal imaging camera. After around an hour the fire was out and traffic was able to resume.
Earlier in the day, fire crews from Preston tackled a fire at a property on Tudor Close in Preston.
The fire involved a single storey, domestic garage.
Fire crews remained in attendance around one hour and ten minutes. No injuries were reported.
